First impressions always go well with Meridith, able to make fast friendships and connect easily with people. His happy-go-lucky demeanour always brings a warmth to the room, his intentions to liven up people's days. Despite not being the brightest lightbulb, he does try to share his opinions and keep an open mind to things, holding no prejudice be it about muggles or squibs or even hybrids.

Even though Meri is a loving soul, he tends to do peculiar things that wouldn't sit well with most people. He rarely thinks before he does or says most things, relying on his instincts and gut feelings when making decisions. He is also relentless when his mind is made up and it usually takes a lot to change his mind. He takes a certain pride to being the way that he is, knowing well that he has a different mindset compared to his peers. As you get to know Meri, the more touchy-feely he will get too. His favourite past time is braiding people's hair, carrying people/dragging them to places he wants them to be or speaking over them trying to 'guess' what they're about to say.


History : 

As sweet as sugar and as cheerful as the sun, Meri was brought up wonderfully by a pair of loving parents. His mother belonged to Slytherin whilst his father was a Hufflepuff, a rather healthy and balanced relationship according to the boy himself. His father taught him to be kind, to understand people while his mother taught him to stand for what he believed in and how to charm. He respected his parents a great deal and was an obedient child, so he listened to every word they said.

Even though he was an only child, Meridith was never deprived of company of children his own age. His parents were very close to a family whom they've known since they were kids themselves, rather his mother knew their father, being the best of friends back then. Meridith was obviously overjoyed at the sight of someone to play with, trying hard to be a good role model, a good 'big brother' figure for the 4 kids. He grew very close to the children and considered them family from the time they had spent together, actually very sad when he received his first letter to Hogwarts, heart-broken to be away from his family and closest friends.

Something sparked in the boy during his time in Hogwarts despite being exposed to magic at home. School was different and he learned new things, his mind opening to new possibilities and ideas. After his first class in Divination, something snapped the sensibility in him and he became more wild and care-free. He had always been a peculiar boy but he never showed it, he used to only talk to Hanna, his cockatoo, in private when he first go her but ever since his Professor said he had a knack for scrying, he started to be more.. eccentric.

This change in him was not taken well by a few of his peers however, Casey, one of his childhood friends being part of that group. That never stopped him though, oblivious to the curious glances people gave him as he walked the halls barefoot, hair in a crazy mess, hems of his pants folded unevenly. " Normal is boring, plain is stupid, this is how I am and this is how I'll be" He'd puff out his chest proudly.

Regarding the muggle issue however, his alliances obviously teeter more towards his own kind but he somehow understands why the muggles did what they did but that doesnt mean he approves of it. Meridith is a peace-loving person so violence of any kind wouldn't sit well with him. Despite their actions, he feels they have the right to be heard or given a second chance for thats the only way to reach a compromise!
